SD8 Kootenay Lake

Our Mission: We focus on excellence for all learners in a nurturing environment.

School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) covers a wide geographical area and serves communities within the East and West Kootenay regions of British Columbia. SD8 serves the needs of students and families within six families of schools: Salmo, Creston, Crawford Bay, Kaslo, Nelson and the Slocan Valley.

We acknowledge, respect and honour the First Nations in whose traditional territories the Kootenay Lake School District operates and all Aboriginal people residing within the boundaries of School District #8.
