The Ministry of Education and Child Care has notified SD8 that we have been chosen as a successful Provincial Online Learning School candidate. SD8 applied to become a POLS in January of this year.

The way students access online learning won’t change for 2022-2023 and Elev8-DESK continues to welcome new students.

SD8 will work with the ministry over the coming year so that our new online learning model is in place and we are ready to welcome students to a new program in 2023-2024.

Once provincial online learning schools are developed, students will be able to sign up for online learning with their local online learning school or a provincial online learning school.

SD8 will share more information with our school communities as it’s available.
